About Registered Practitioners
Calmbirth® practitioners are people who believe primarily in the natural process of childbirth and challenge the existing culture that promotes birth as a necessarily stressful experience. They are committed to helping pregnant couples increase their options in their birthing process. They believe when necessary, intervention during labour and childbirth, may be necessary.
Calmbirth® practitioners are professionals who have achieved a minimum standard of excellence during their training and continue to expand their knowledge to improve their quality of practice there after.
Calmbirth® practitioners are required to engage in relevant on going education.
Practitioner's Role
The role of the calmbirth® practitioner is one of educator. They are required to deliver the calmbirth® program to pregnant couples either individually or in small groups in a competent, caring manner. The role of the calmbirth® practitioner is to deliver to the participants of their classes, information and skills which make it possible to achieve a fear – free birth naturally, calmly and with joy.
